Agencia Estatal de Investigación
The Spanish State Research Agency, AEI-Agencia Estatal de Investigación is a public funding agency created by a Royal Decree on November 2015. The AEI belongs to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and it is responsible for the proposal, management, monitoring and evaluation of the State programmes and the strategic actions of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and for Innovation 2017-2020. All these action of the Plan are performed under the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation 2013-2020
The Agency purpose is to evaluate, manage, finance and then monitoring technical research activities (mainly research projects) intended to generate, exchange and exploit knowledge as fostered by Central State Government.
Agencia Extremeña de la Energía
The Extremadura Energy Agency (AGENEX) is a public institution, created in 2001 thanks to the EU SAVE programme with the aim of promoting renewable energy sources, increasing the efficiency and energy saving, and supporting energy planning at regional and local level.
Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial
The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) is a Public Business Entity, answering to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universites, which fosters the technological development and innovation of Spanish companies. It is the entity that channels the funding and support applications for national and international R&D&i projects of Spanish companies.
Junta de Extremadura – Consejería de Economía e Infraestructuras
At regional level, the highest-ranking organism in policy making and regional planning in the field of energy improvement and planning is the DG de Economía, Infraestructura, Industria y Energía (DGE). The entity is developing right now a significant experience in the field of energy efficiency promotion and innovative financing in Renewable Energy Sources.
DGE has direct of competencies in industrial promotion, energy generation, energy distribution, industrial management and mines.
