The Kick-off-Meeting of the CSP-ERANET 1st Call project CSPplus (Techno-economical evaluation of different thermal energy storage concepts for CSP plants) was held online on March 5th 2021, 15:00-19:00 (CEST). Therefore, the project activities have been initiated.
The meeting was chaired by the project coordinator, Luisa F. Cabeza from University of Lleida - GREiA Research Group and a total of 15 participants attended the meeting to discuss the strategy of cooperation during the project duration and the first steps to be done in the next few months.
The objective of CSPplus is to reduce by 30% the capital expenditure (CAPEX) and by 3-4% the operating expenditure (OPEX) in the next generation of CSP. Different social, environmental, and economic impacts are expected from the project, as well as the strengthening of the competitiveness and growth of European companies and the improvement of innovation capacity. Project CSPplus is supported under the umbrella of CSP-ERA.NET 1st Cofund Joint Call by AEI - Agencia Esttal de Investigación, TÜBITAK - Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, and CSO - Israeli Ministry of Energy. CSP-ERA.NET is supported by the European Commission within the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation HORIZON 2020 (Cofund ERA-NET Action, N° 838311).
