CSP Projects Joint Webinar
The SOCRATCES consortium organizes the CSP Projects Joint Webinar that will take place on the 25th June 2021. The aim of this webinar is to offer a place to share the experience of these projects on concentrated solar power and discuss the potential of Concentrated Solar Power Plants and its future within the Horizon Europe framework.

In this webinar, taking place on 3 Febreuary 2021 08-14:00 (CET), experts from the World Bank and IRENA will draw upon the findings of their brand-new report “Concentrating Solar Power: Clean Power on Demand 24/7” to analyze the role of CSP in energy systems. Comments on prospects for future development of CSP will be heard from Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines and from the Madrid-based Protermosolar industry association.
The Launch of Horizon Europe under the Portuguese Presidency is LIVE! The event brings together speakers from all over Europe and includes interventions by researchers, business leaders and political and governmental officials with the aim of mobilizing the whole Europe for the “Horizon Europe, 2021-27” programme and its articulation with national programmes of recovery and resilience, in preparation under the “Next Generation EU, 2021-27” programme.

As one of its core activities to support technical progress and awareness building in this area, the SolarPACES conference, initiated in 1980, is the foremost symposium for the who's who in concentrating solar power and chemical energy systems, offering a forum for research, industry, politics and financing stakeholders within the framework of a scientific conference program with leading world experts.
The 2nd workshop within the RAISELIFE project takes place on Thursday, 28 November in Düsseldorf, Germany.
2018 demonstrated a decline in CSP costs (26% reduction) and a rise in capacity factors (up to 45%).
CSP-ERA.NET Cofund launched its Joint Call in CSP on 7 October 2019. 8 countries and regions participate in this call: Germany and North-Rhine-Westphalia, Greece, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
The total public funding budget is 13 million euros, covering topics in concentrating solar power (CSP). Innovative project proposals are sought on transnational level between different European countries strengthening the competitive position of the European solar power industry. Preproposals have to be submitted not later than 10 January 2020.
